Comfort Ellie

 Dear Readers,

Just last week the Washington high court caught up with yours truly and ruled that Ellie, a stunner of a gal and so-called "comfort dog", could appear in the courtroom without compromising the defendants right to a fair trial.  (I think what is being implied in this situation is that because of Ellie's presence, the defendant will have a fair trial.) Finally, finally, we may be nudging towards equality here, folks.  Ellie was granted the right to do her work in a public place.  This is what I've been advocating for all along; just the right to be where I need to be doing what I need to do.  Did it help that Ellie is a looker?  Probably.  But sometimes you just got to take what you can anyway you can.

Fringe Benefits

Hi all,

I wanted to pop in to let you all know what the trend for winter wear is.  If you live where I live, there really isn't such a season as fall so you should hurry up and winterize while there is still a little bit of daylight left to see what you are choosing.

The latest and greatest fashionistas will be wearing fringe this winter.  It's a great accessory to what can be otherwise drab outer wear and, if you so need, fringe can be a great bit of camouflage for less than stellar figures (That is not my problem, thank you six-pack abs.).  See below photo for an example.

Fringe on the cuffs.
You can choose to add fringe wherever your heart desires.  Personally, I don't think you can have too much fringe so I'll accent my glorious coat with fringe on the cuffs, chest, neck, and bottom.  Feel free to copy my lead.

Full fringe in all my glory.
I'll keep you updated on the fashion front.

Yours truly,
Sweetie P. Clark

P.S.  Kind comments and interesting questions always welcome.

La Bella Figura

For the unfortunate souls who are always striving for (and never quite achieving) a hot body,  I'd like to introduce the concept of la bella figura. It's a different way of thinking about our physical selves, maybe one that allows for an extra delectable bite of Salmon and a slightly shorter walk sans guilt.  In Italy, where this idea originates, people are concerned with having a beautiful line, or figure, unlike people in America who are on a quest to achieve a beautiful body. With a beautiful line, one may look sensational in the right outfit and a little less so with no outfit.  A beautiful body suggests that one need not wear clothes as the nakedness is what is to be shown off.  Although I will never be caught without my fur coat on, being the international sensation that I am, I have both la bella figura and a beautiful body.

What got me thinking about this all was looking at a photo that was recently snapped of me. My fur coat has become incredibly luxurious and it's hard to get a sense of my six pack abs and incredible physique by a look alone.  Right now, someone would have to get close and personal to feel my taut muscles and toned limbs. I almost worked myself up into a tizzy over this until I noticed that one could still admire my bella figura.  See for yourself.

Bye Bye Barney

Dear readers,

Whatever your feelings were for our former president, take a moment to remember the real leader of the Oval Office, Barney Bush.  Sadly, Barney passed away this last Friday.

I never had the chance to meet Barney in person, though I had received many an invitation during his eight year reign.  I always had a prior engagement and regretted to decline as he and I were kindred in some ways.  He had an excellent security record, as do I.  He was well-connected and entertained his guests with grace and calm, as do I.  He loved the outdoors, as do I. He was a loyal and faithful companion, as am I.  No matter the situation, Barney always knew how to hadle himself with dignity and poise, as do I.

It's a sad time.

Bye bye, Barney.

Down and Out

Dear loyal readers and committed fans,

I feel it is my duty to confess about an unfortunate situation.  Since I have been transported to this secret and undisclosed location, I have had to make several visits to the doctor's office.  While I confidently report that as of today I am in tip top shape, since I arrived here, that has not always been the case.  In the middle of November, I had to undergo a series of tests, the results of which caused me to be put under the knife, again (loyal readers, you may remember reading about a similar prior event).
The mark of the tests.
This time, however, the procedure was a little more complicated and I suffered terrible pains post-op.
Poor little me recovering.
Just this morning, I needed to go back to the doctor's to follow-up on a side effect from my prior procedure.  I was loaded up with more pills (you loyal fans understand my reference) and sent home with the clearance to report back to duty.  Then, if my problem has not improved in two weeks, I may have to go back in, again.

Rest assured that despite all my troubles and suffering, I look fantastic and feel like a puppy, but these ailments are unusual to me as I am what is normally known as perfect.  I'm a little shaken up by all that has happened and am reconsidering risking the constant hounding of the puparazzi to receive treatment at my trusted Blum Hospital.

Yours truly,
Sweetie P.

The Night the Earth did not Stand Still

Dear Readers,

I'm letting you all know that I survived the earthquake unharmed.  Last night I was enjoying some quality time with my people when I felt the earth move.  I did not appreciate that sensation, but I was not completely surprised by this act of nature as my keen senses had given me some indication that something bizarre was going to happen.

Once I was able to assess the situation, I readied myself for the inevitable call for a search and rescue mission.  Fortunately, the earthquake did not cause any severe damage here and no one went missing.  For the time being, my services have not been needed, although I did receive many requests for a visit.  People knew that one look at my pretty, little face and fabulous figure would help to soothe any residual anxiety and fear.  However, since it was the middle of night, I decided not to tromp out into the snow and instead I would let them long to see me.  Sometimes hope is enough to keep people going.

You can read the article I've provided if you want more information on this experience.
